The NJ Alliance of Family Support provides training and technical assistance to help the Family Support Organization offices provide one-on-one, peer-to-peer support for families receiving Care Management services through the New Jersey Division of Child Behavioral Health Services. Each of the Family Support Organization offices help families in their communities who have children with emotional, behavioral or mental health needs by providing Support Groups, Educational Forums, Events for families, Warm-lines (telephone help lines) for reassurance and information, Youth Partnership programs and opportunities for family leadership and parent/professional partnerships.
The New Jersey Alliance of Family Support Organizations receives funding from the New Jersey Department of Human Services to ensure that the highest quality child-centered and family friendly approaches to care management service delivery are created and maintained throughout New Jersey.
The NJ Alliance of Family Support provides leadership and support to the statewide network of Family Support Organizations that represent families raising children with emotional, behavioral or mental health challenges. Aspects of our work supporting the Family Movement include: Empowerment, Outreach, Providing Forums, Providing Referral/Resources, Organizing Conferences, Providing Technical Assistance and Training, Effecting Systemic Change and making local, state and national connections.
